zehjotkah deserves not only an N950, and Nokia doesn't say that every N950 owner "must" produce some app. Even though, so what? Cosimo did more than produce an app.

Blame Elop then, is he who makes this fantastic device not availiable for most people, not the programe or people who has that device.

I think this goes too far from topic anyway!

Ah... so they're not developer devices, then? So N950s are just for fun. OK. Well, then why doesn't Nokia let people sell them if they want? Why are they only being "loaned" from Nokia if they are not developer devices?

Remember that the N950 never got the official Harmattan releases but special versions for the N950. If Nokia decided to drop support for the special N950 builds one day, you would be stuck without updates.

Seems like there's a lot of rage from people who didn't get an N950 and some who didn't even APPLY for one.

As stated, it was a "community device program". The majority of users who got an N950, did something absolutely useful for the Harmattan community. Whether it was hacking on support for something, filing, reporting or fixing bugs, application development, application testing or even things that aren't traditionally "developer related" like product/platform/brand evangelism - it all went towards a bigger picture.

They/we developed SOMETHING (not only code) for the community, the platform and future products. The fact that you're whining about not getting one proves well enough there was a good reason you didn't get one.

Who's whining? For my part, I'm just asking questions...
