Funny you should mention that, but again it's apples and oranges if you ask me. The reason I say it's funny is because my buddy just got a 7710 and he digs it. Me personally, I think the screen is too small to be reasonable, the resolution is eh...it has a camera which is pretty cool if you dig a camera phone, I don't sooo you know. I won't knock the 7710 or anything else at that...it's just a different device, yes it's the same in some ways but the bottom line is the 770 is everything that I personally what I want out of my computer. Music, Porn, movies, and internet...I always have my laptop for games, school work, and things alike.

The 7710 is a smartphone running Symbian OS series 90.
The 770 is a phone-less internet tablet running Linux.

I have both devices -- and have used them both.

Similarities:

++ touch screen interface
++ nice display
++ good array of applications
++ both devices have publicly available SDKs

Differences:
++ 7710 has a smaller screen
++ OSes are different: 7710 runs Symbian OS. This is significant and makes the 770 more of a general purpose device. There is a larger set of core apps for the 770.
++ 7710 is a phone and has a camera. I never really appreciated the phone on the 7710 -- the face grease factor was too high.

At present, the 7710 has many of the apps the 770 has + a phone + a camera. However, in my view, the 770 has a more intuitive interface and is better for general purpose use.
