I am gonna upgrade OS2008 on N800. I just want to know if OS2008 can make N800 work as a USB host? and if N800 with 0S2008 can use usb to charge?

Thanks,

No and no. Do a quick forum search on USB host and you'll see the hardware hacking and custom kernel compilation needed to do that, and the N800 doesn't draw power from the USB port, period. I don't think software would be able to change that.

USB host is part of OS2008, a custom kernel is unnecessary.

However, depending on what devices you connect, you may need to compile kernel modules to actually use them.
