are these false hopes? really love everything about the phone but the battery life could be an issue
it should improve in few days how ever if it didn't flashing the device with the latest software would help as been discussed previously in this thread

i have only 2g selected as i don't really get 3g here.

re-flashing sounds ominous is there a step by step guide to cleaning and re-flashing? or is it just reset > clear device in the settings?

ok just seen the 'flashing' thread at the top of this forum and that is something i don't feel confident enough to try so gonna hope the battery improves with a few more charges. the second full charge from 11pm friday night lasted until 8am sunday morning so fingers crosssed it only gets better.

there was some strange goings on a few days ago when i was running down the battery after the initial full charge - first time it got to 'baterry empty' it auto shut down. then to my surprise, pressing the power button actually switched it back on and it showed 11% or thereabouts so i ran it down again to 'battery empty' then again it powered back up with 6% full and i repeated this until there really was no more juice and would not power back up at all. so even though it was showing 'battery empty' on 3 or 4 occasions it wasn't quite giving me correct info anyone else had this?

moving forward, guess there is a lot else i can tinker with to get me some good juice life

Guys I know someone once gave us full details as how chargers and USB ones operate but yesterday a weird thing happened, I visited my friend and used his Galaxy S2 official charger, it took about 30 min to charge from 5% to 50%, my charger would have ran an hour or even morr to get to 50%,I'm thinking of getting that charger now, could it have been a coincidence?

by norm the n9 charges from 0 to 80% in an hour. the batteries work in such a way that from 91%-100% it takes an additional 30minutes whereas the earlier portion is pretty quick. its not the charger the standard n9 charger functions the same way.

AFAIK n9 and sgs2's chargers have the same voltage output.

@Muzimak
Check the output current on both. Charging depends on that - the higher, the faster is charging. But battery condition deteriorates quicker as well.

The current written in the charger is the max current that this charger can provide but in the end, it's the N9 who decides the charging pace.

My battery life has really improved after updating to PR1.2, I didnt do a clean reflash, just updated.

before I would maybe last a little longer than a day with normal to heavy usage, Now with PR1.2 it lasts around 2 days with the same usage.

Impressive

Are you logged in to chat when you get those 2 days?

intermittently I would say maybe 40-60% of the time

I have it set up to connect automatically when I have a wifi connection, otherwise I dont use the 3.5G we have in the area unless I need it.
