rcolistete: the most helpful thing you could do for me is post an image (or maybe it would be better to wait a couple of days for the new version of the Estel image that has rotation and LibreOffice?) and add the necessary scripts to get it working with Harmattan. I can take that and post it on qole.org for others to use.

I am still very much on the fence about posting a .deb of my scripts for Harmattan. What kind of numbers of users are we talking about here? Twenty people? Hundreds?

I have used your debian-m5-v3e.img.ext2 image. I will make the scripts for adding files to the image.

My blog article "Nokia N9 with Easy Debian : OpenOffice, TeX, Maxima, etc" has more than 700 views. And I think that with Javispedro MeeGo vkbd solution, Easy Debian @ N9/N950 will be almost as popular as @ N900, or even more because there is a lack of office editors, vnc client, etc, for MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan.

Just for teasing the MeeGo community and boost the interest about Easy Debian on Nokia N9/N950, I have published another article in my blog, "MeeGo Keyboard with Easy Debian on Nokia N9 !".
Qole, as you have sugestted, in the following days I am going to create another topic about "Easy Debian for MeeGo with Inception" with installation scripts, modified "HarmChom.tgz" (including icons), etc. I hope to colaborate with you to create scripts and .deb to make installation of Easy Debian on Nokia N9/N950 as easy as in Maemo.

I just bought n9 and i was missing a lot of tools. Chrooted debian solves it perfectly.
I did whole process from post 57.
Not sure if that matters cause I installed it successful but part:
$ cd HarmChom/src/bin
$ chmod 755 *

see my console output:
~/HarmChom/src/bin $ chmod 755 *
~/HarmChom/src/bin $ ls -l
total 36

Following your procedure I also had a problem with permission of suxephwm, I think you should update post 57.

[root@chroot: /]chmod 755 /usr/bin/suxephwm


Thank you for adjusting easy debian to n9. I was starting to regret moving to n9 from n900 because lack of programs.
Ok I'm going to set the virtual keyboard now.

What step could have caused reboot loop. Is it the .profile editing?

any tips on how to boot meego and fix problem?

Edit:Okay now i'm getting mad. Cant flash even. Downgrade disallowed im not downgrading!

I've had similar problems some months ago if bash is set as default shell. But not editing the PATH in .profile (for Java SE, etc). So I don't know the reason of your problem.

A different problem I've had experimented was about replacing "/etc/init/ssh.conf", see post #54. So my post #57 doesn't include coping the "/src/etc/" folder of "HarmChom".
