Ah, I'm so used to only waking the screen by tapping in the empty spot just to the left of the Bluetooth icon in the status bar, that I've missed seeing this bug. The doesn't-eat-screen-waking-tap bug saved me from the applets-on-ice bug. Wonderful!

You SO should have won that N810 video contest.

So, I agree with texrat, bilofsky and akd. And I also sometimes wake up the tablet exactly as bilofsky described above.
I think it depends on what applets you use. I never had any trouble under 2007 with moving and locking and was actually surprised they changed it. But under 2008 it doesn't affect me since I only use the weather and radio applets.

I have my home page stuffed with as many applets as I could squeeze in.. that's why it bothers me so much that the Nokia-applets (google bar, fm radio, internet radio, rss reader, contact list, heck - the status bar itself) can't be squeezed and stretched the way e.g. the excellent 3party simple-launcher can.

And that is why I chose the n800, because I love that under Linux you can change stuff the way you desire. However, the n800 hasn't lived up to that dream.

I would rather run applications than applets but I want to be able to switch between them. I'd much rather have a radio application then the applet on the desktop, etc.

The applet problem is annoying but it's not the end of the world. The bounces of the keyboard however is a big problem, especially when entering passwords.

The only key entry issue I've had is when selected text is not deleted and replaced with my new input. I've had to delete the text in the box and then it would work.

Agreed. I find it all the more frustrating because I switched to keyboard input to escape a bug with handwriting recognition and editing text in MicroB. I seem to be the only one experiencing that one though.
