Hey, just before I've read it I've tried sth. like this:
dpkg -i packagename.deb
So woohoo, I was close to a right solution I see, however, I get a message that aegis does not allow this .deb to be installed - are you running open kernel or sth like this?

OK, does this mean to first do:
devel-su
passwd

dpkg...

Or something more? Sorry for the noob post I guess :P

EDIT: nevermind, I was getting Aegis-related error because I was running the command in wrong directory... This is awesome, no more exhausting reinstallation!

i Forgot something else..
With this method, i don't know why, but i have a small issue with Nokia store..
For example, i installed opera from my script and after two days i saw update in the store app, but when i press on the opera and new page opens, i don't see/have button "update", i can see only "review".. i need uninstall opera and only after this i can see "update" button.. But now i also can catch this new version for next reflash :P

This is actually a "feature" to prevent people from downloading trial or early pirated versions of apps and then store giving them updates for free...

Suprisingly, they implemented it for Opera too...Store can be quite finnicky at times so it could be temporary...

Hi Schturman,

Manage to show the folder background fully by this http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...ght=app+folder
I edited the minimum and maximum to 60mm

You may want to include it with your next update

Here is the screenshot:

I think my PM does not work, so I'll post it here:
I'm really happy about possibility to back up my apps, but I'd like to make it more user-friendly (read: I'm lazy, to much tapping atm), so I've got a question about tweak O - does it use this trick:

I can solve that
  1. create folder like /home/user/MyDocs/Temp
  2. open terminal, get root
  3. type this, DO NOT PRESS ENTER! cp -a /var/cache/apt /home/user/MyDocs/Temp
  4. go to store, download app/game
  5. (wait until progress bar for downloading is complete)
  6. go to terminal, hit enter
And if yes, how does the script 'know' when application finished downloading? I'd much appreciate if you comment on this if you have time
