I've just written a blog post on getting various networking methods working on the N9:

Nokia N9 Bluetooth PAN, USB & Dummy Networks

It covers:

- Bluetooth Personal Area Networking

- USB Networking (extending the built-in support for near zero-interaction configuration with Debian after initial setup)

- Dummy Network (how to get libicd-network-dummy installed to allow anything that uses libconic to use the above networks)

- Alternative pseudo-dummy Network (not as good, but doesn't require Inception and can be made to work out of the box)
