I'm on an N810, transitioning from a series of Palms.
Do you use Gene's calendar alarms? If so, does the calendar app
have to be running for the alarm to go off?

The first URL is a repository - you add it to your application manager then you can get the programs in it. The 2nd (gronmayer) is a way to add the repository with a click.
The scripts are a calendar and to-do application, plus he also has a simple database for keeping information in.
I find them nicer than the GPE equivalents - better user interface, nicer to use. But they are 2007 only.

. I installed all the files listed including icalendar, dateutil. Is there another program that needs to be installed to make these work? I have python.2.5 runtime as well. Thanks.

No idea. I suggest you email Gene at gene.cash@gmail.com and ask him. I'm just a happy user.
Did you install from app manager, or from the debs? If you did it from the debs, I suggest you add the repository to app manager and do it that way. And you are using 2007, right?

Installed Info on tap and Calendar on my 800 (2007OS) they say the are installed and they showed up on my extras menu but when I click on them nothing happens. I installed all the files listed including icalendar, dateutil. Is there another program that needs to be installed to make these work? I have python.2.5 runtime as well. Thanks.
It looks like it's finally fixed in the repository, but still no package available with this fix.
