As the title says, I'm looking to get around the region selection screen on a new flash bootup on an n900 without using the touchscreen.

I've tried every damn thing to get the screen to work properly, but nothing seems to go my way. All I need to do is to access xTerm so I can do what I need to do (install the pwnieexpress community image) but the region and settings select screen is a block I can't get past without using the screen. Are there any ideas on how to get into xTerm or some way to install the backup utility?
