I've tried searching these forums, maemo.org, and Google with no luck:
Is there a way to re-size the non-full panel windows? Like, I open up Application Installer in the control panel, and my application names and version numbers are long enough that the sizes of the applications have gone off the little pop up window, to the right and out of sight. Anybody know of any method of resizing this window, or anyone have any ideas?

Sure, you could edit the source code or maybe even a new theme.

Well, I'm not a developer, and I don't even know what language the source code for Maemo is in. I was thinking it might be an environmental variable, editable through XTerm or something like that. But, I haven't even gotten arround to playing with XTerm, nore do I know the basic terminal structure for Linux. So yea, I'm at a loss there :/

Smalller font solves many problems. Alas, that can only be changed by switching the theme. again, installing a new theme still requires root. I am working on a way to get theme maker to install for normal users as well. If this is successful, themes can be deployed as debs.

I think that'd go against the idea behind the Hildon interface. Using set objects probably saves a buttload of processor time/memory... but I agree, a lot of stuff gets cut off too often. Smaller fonts would be a plus.
