Nokia City Lens is one of the “most well received new applications” from the Finnish company (they also used it to generate buzz for the WP8 Lumias before unveiling them). The Symbian and MeeGo users weren’t left out – they got to participate in the beta trials, which are now over.

isn't this old news dating back to Nokia World when the new Lumias were announced?

Well you could kind of say that this was indeed no surprise. N9 is starting to be really hard to find anywhere and 808 is likely the last Symbian phone.

That said Nokia actually announced this particular news ~week ago.

Nah I didn't mean it that since the phones are rarer to find this is old news; its just I thought I remembered reading this some while ago...

Doing a search, yeah it was not during Nokia World but 2 weeks ago: http://mynokiablog.com/2012/09/29/be...-incompatible/


That is where I read it hence I thought its old news...

This is one app that I do use a lot! And it would be safe to assume that many others do too I reckon?

Gonna have to create my own personal back up of city lens for future use.
