Is the "basics" including true muititasking?

There are still some folks around me and in China buy N9 instead of Lumia or Samsung galaxycr@ps.

It's just you don't want it, don't include others.

too be honest i got the phone for its unique properties

i am pretty sure the N9 can do the basics much better than the N900

and besides the N9 is a year old, shipped in limited quanities, was not shipped in several major markets, no hype from Nokia...to be honest most people never even heard of the N9 to begin with.

hey guys, as i said, i bought a used n9 for daily use trying to get away from typical android and ios stuff. apparently, the n9 is carrier branded phone, but not locked to a certain network.

my n9 is currently running 30.2012.7.1 = PR1.2, so i want to update to PR1.3 but want to get rid the carrier branded crap/apps that i cannot use in my country. just to be clear, all i need is PR1.3 001 global vanilla right? just flash it?

sorry to hijack this thread, i don't want to open another new thread just to ask this silly question

I bought my N9 black 64gb in April and it is still as awesome as ever. I got it knowing I wouldn't have Whatsapp and I didn't give a damn, I wanted to replace my N900 and the N9 was the only one on the list. And now it even has our amazing wazapp and so the last con it had is washed away.
Many people here think its a Lumia and I never saw another N9 around here but I guess that's logical cause it never came out in The Netherlands.

As the song lyric says:
"T'aint what you do,it's the way that you do it."
As a new owner, the N9 is doing it superbly well.

On a side note, anyone wants? I'll go buy a few of these "cheap" N9s and sell them for $400 each

I WANT! I WANT!

Indeed. After being a symbian devotee for many many years (6? 7? cant remember tbh), i decided my "basics" included evernote and a kindle app and Bumblr(tumblr) ... symbian doesnt have any of those.
Also symbian doesnt have such tight OS integration with fb and twitter and sharing...

My "basics" changed when i got the N9 and saw what else it could do - i dont think i realised for one minute what i was missing! I dont really "need" my nexus 7 tablet now...
