hi, i want to know if someday it will be possible to make Skype videocalls from Nokia N9, just like n900, there is an app called peregrine, that promises that someday will get videocall support... But, it has months with no update... There is a way to make videocalls possible?

This is a thing... This maybe a simple answer but how did the N900 get an app for Skype (that video call works in) when the N9 doesn't? Is it that the app on the N900 was made by Nokia themselves? Because Skype is all closed up and we can't access any of it.
Sorry, I am only 18 and I don't know a lot about the N900.

yeah, Skype on the N900 was given by Nokia with the PR1.2 update IIRC

For as far as I know this isn't possible for now at least the only known for me project that was going to enable us video calls was the penegrine app but the development stoped for the n9 if I am correct.

Im really surprised, i thought harmattan well get everything doubled and even more of what the N900 has, but it seems not.
Good luck N9-ers

When someone says the thing is closed source, I assume it means that it is illegal to tamper with the software. Correct me if I'm wrong please.

I was wondering (just thinking please don't shoot me) if reverse engineering could allow video calls on skype.. Nah Just thinking

Stop, don't get super excited, it won't be here. Just wait for Sailfish (if it gets ported) and install Skype on your N9 and there you go, Skype with Video Call..
