Suddenly my Nokia N9 stopped working in the midst of a phone call. It showed an error about the SIM card. I replaced the SIM card with another one, rebooted, reflashed but nothing seems to fix it. When I try to get the IMEI code (*#06#) I do get a long beep but no IMEA code shows up.
Has the phone function died on this brand new N9 (I only have it for about 4 weeks)? Any tips, hints on how to solve this?

Thanks,
Rob

Perhaps the SIM contacts have gotten dirty?

If you bought it used, then probably someone used the track and protect function and killed the phone. You should send it for repair if it has warranty or send it back to owner.

I didn't bought it used; it was brand new and I installed TnP for it. I can't imagine someone breached that TnP configuration. Is there a way to revitalize the phone using TnP?

Does Track n Protect still work? I remember 1-2 months back there have been threads showing that it doesn't work anymore for the N9...

Any more help here? I am desperate as my phone is useless without it recognizing the SIM. Is there anything I can do or does this seems to be a hardware failure.
