Seems somehing is wrong with your account. Can it be that your mobile provider is blocking Whatsapp and IMs in general? Maybe not included in the package you pay or something.

also it just occurred to me that i have friends with the same service provider and plan as me and use whatsapp on their Android or whatever with no problem.
