BB10 devices will be shown and released in the next 80 days. Jolla is looking like they will cater to China first, then everybody else. But that's not rumored to be until after April.

Again, this is what I am saying - I oppose people claiming that every phone needs to be big and the next Jolla's smartphone must be that way to matter on the market.
That the size will be irrelevant is pretty much the idea - when size is irrelevant, there won't be such trends as bigger == better.

That might be a handicap, though - look what attention Ubuntu got at CES.

Rubbish, what is wrong with your memory & reading comprehension, seriously...
They've made it very clear (explaining several times) that they'll reveal all details about it and their dev strategy in Q1.
They've also said it'll appear for purchase in Summer (Winter for Southern Hemisphere), but only in a handful of markets.
For those who don't live in one of those markets, it may also be available online-only, remains to be seen.

Its not just CES. Ubuntu did a far superior job in presentation. They showed the os, they gave hands on, the teased with what they want to do. When one hidden agendas like jolla. Plus they give the devs something to look at very soon. That is far better execution than jolla. Jolla acting like rookies in the business and that means far less sold devices for them.

Samsung will probably launch its gsIV. Jolla must consider how to handle their presentation dates around the bigger vendors anything samsung does will cover jolla in dirt for months. Especially if jolla trying to sticking its head up the premium segment.

I'm not sure if you have followed the jollas so closely to be that rude. This is only one answer from jolla and it was was from Oct last year.

TechRepublic: In regards to the hardware, can you comment on anything related to the form factor of your upcoming smartphone? I’m sure my readers would be interested in hints.
