...and using bash instead, os2008?
Anyone tried it? Or know how?!

Why would you uninstall xterm? It's a terminal emulator. bash is a shell, which can run in a terminal.

bash can be installed without removing anything, search around the forums for more info.

Yeah, I tried looking, and someone mentioned wanting bash - they were told that it would come out soon and it has, but so far, no one has put anything up here, or in the wider internets, about installing it. Y'see, there is a conflict with the busybox package. I can't uninstall busybox, because that is depended on by xterm... among other things.
