The only reason I wanted to give Webot a try over Orb was because I thought it had a dedicated app on the N810. However what I'm starting to see is maybe the only way to access the Webot on your N810 is through the default media player and the fact that Webot is making your media available via UPNP, is that correct or is there really a Webot applications somewhere for the N810?

It's my understanding you are supposed to use webot through the web interface at www.webot.com

Webot has nothing to do with the built in media player or UPnP. I am not sure how you got the idea that it does.

Fire up your tablet browser and go to http://www.webot.com and it'll walk you through setting everything up. Their app is a Flash application that runs in the browser.

Well when I go to webot.com on the N810 and login I get an error saying "Express Install is not supported by this version of the Flash Player. To upgrade, please visit: Flash Player Download Ceneter"

That made me think it wasn't supposed to be accessed through the web browser. Also at the bottom of their Tour page it shows an N810 running some application which doesn't appear to be within the web browser. So I stumped at this point on how to access my media through Webot.

Check your browser settings to make sure your plugins are turned on. Sounds like somehow your Flash plugin got set to off.

Very, very weird. I've seen this problem once or twice before but we've been unable to reproduce it consistently to fix it it. I'll PM you my contact info and we'll correspond offline to see if we can fix it.

If anyone else who has used Webot (or any other Flash-based app) that has seen this error and can reproduce it, please post here or PM me so I can get some info from you.

The 810 (and the 800) are merely for accessing your media. The way WeBot works is you put a bot on each machine you have access to which has content and associate that content to the bot. then you log into your account on the Tablet (no application needs to be downloaded, it's purely a flash based web interface) and have access to all the bots on all the machines (win, mac, linux); The Tablet is just a mobile access device and WeBot does not use any extermal music player.

as to the flash plugin being disabled, we've had the same discussion on the WeBot fourms and one member found this infomation thqat may be what is happening to Benz145:

"My browser plugins also get turned off every now and then on my N800 running OS2008. I think the browser disables the plugins when the device runs low on RAM memory.

E.g. viewing the flash-based (and memory-extensive?) http://www.flashearth.com on the tablet and navigating around results in that the flash plug-in gets disabled after some time."

Does Webot support video yet? Looks like their site forums had talked about it months ago. Also, is it only streaming, or does it give me access to download content on machines I have bots running on?
