My N800 has suddenly lost sound output, both to the internal speakers and to any headset I've plugged into it. I've been trying to test in multiple apps, but realized I don't really have that many things installed that output audio. In Canola2 files seem to play fine, just no sound. I tried making a Skype call, but I get a "sound recording error" when I try to dial and the call doesn't go through.

Any thoughts on what I can try? I'd like to put my N800 into semi-retirement and just use this as a music/podcast desk player if I can get the sound working again.

And it's back. I had rebooted a few times since I discovered the issue, but yesterday I rebooted again, and it was the first time it rebooted easily without having to coax it to complete the boot process. Sound came back on fully and it is working great for podcasts now. I love my N800, but it is really finicky these days about everything. Need to be very gentle and whisper encouraging things to make sure she'll turn on.
