So, there's a new hands on video by Czech reporters
http://mobil.idnes.cz/jolla-sailfish...8_telefony_vok .
I haven't seen the video yet, just read the article, but judging by the tone they're presenting it in, I would guess it's not an official Jolla device. It seems like the guy who bought it last week gave it to reporters before returning it to Jolla.

EDIT: I saw the video and there are two things that we have not seen yet - the camera app and the browser. It's clear this wasn't approved by Jolla, but the review is absolutely positive. They seem to be very excited and claim it took them about half an hour to become familiar with the system but then it felt very natural and fluent. At the end of the video, they compare the experience to the first iPhone and express an opinion that Jolla has a chance to be succesful.

On the other hand, the video is the worst I've seen yet - sped up, confusing.

Did you notice that the toolbar in the browser popped up several times? I guess the reporter triggered some gesture which brings it up, I don't think it's supposed to be in the way of regular browsing.

Dolphin browsers let's you create your own gestures. But they are all on screen. Do we talk about on screen or off screen. Both would be cool, especially if the could be used all over the Sailfish OS. .

It's not any special gesture - it's the same behavior as in Chrome on Android and probably in most of other mobile browsers. The controls hide when you scroll the page down and instantly appear when you scroll up.

While in Chrome the controls are on top, Jolla's behavior seems more natural as the scroll (drag) resembles the pulley menu. I also like the fact the controls are on the bottom - reaching up just to click the URL bar was quite annoying on the N9.

All looks fine, other than that browser. Speed and pinch to zoom straight from a AshaOS.

I was worried about that too due to it using IPCEmbed which as seen by its implementation on the N9, isn't ready to replace the stock browser yet. However it could have been an alpha build of the software with Jolla holding back etc but I sincerely hope they manage to push out a fully capable browser...
