yes, but the programs what i'm talking about are working different than pidgin. They are linked to phone number
There are a lot of programs on android and ios for chating, exchanging media files and etc. (viber, wechat, line, telegram...). Anyone tried to port any of this on maemo? I'm using Yappari (whatsapp client, thanks Scorpius for this application), and it works pretty well. But a few days whatsapp servers give an errors, so many of my friends move on to other programs.
