I tried using n900 fb chat but it's not working , are there some alternatives i can use ?

I use the sms forwarding service/reply to emails from facebook and have them get sent to me. Simple, works on any phone, but not sure it works for casual chat and new conversations - you can tell how much I use it...

Doesn't "facebook" or "mysocials" work?

I think it also used (may have been closed down/may still work?) to support that jabber xml format thing that google-talk uses too (or might be misremembering).

It should work - at least to some extent (just text, no attachments).

Disable sms verification for new logins if you have it acitvated, that should make you able to set the account up. You can re-enable it after you set it up - as long as you don't delete it from the account list on your n900, you can login normally.

Thanx problem solved , it was due to sms verification , i have another question , does fb widget works , because i tried and did not

You should install CSSU as it contains a fixed library needed for fb widget to work.

No idea, just tried it and it works here (cssu-thumb as you may expect )

i'm trying right now and it says unable to connect to facebook
