While waiting for my N800 to arrive I thought I'd ask after searching unsuccessfully for information on this subject. Can anyone tell me how downloading large LARGE files like 2 gb files over wifi would work? Does it work? Does the N800 run out of free ram, or does anyone download large files? I would imagine since I'll have 10gb of space I could just connect to wifi and download the giant files I want, without a problem at least I'm hoping I can..

I haven't tried it it myself but from what I read, it should be okay, at the beginning it might look like it stalls but give it time and it will continue transferring data. As for running out of space, look into booting your N800 from one of the memory cards, so you won't be limited to the 128mb.

No, you tell it to download to the memory card, however, if you run the OS from the memory card it allows you to assign a larger virtual memory.
