Hi there!

Sorry, I just got my n810, but I didn't found any solution for my "problem" in the forum yet.

As far as I know the internal backup-feature only saves user-related stuff like bookmarks and documents.

Is there any possibility to - lets say - configure your whole device, install every software, and make a complete backup of that system? It would be great to have a working backup, while playing and messing with the system.

Regards!

Search the forum for the huge threads on cloning the OS.
Read them, all the way through.

Set it up the way you want in the internal flash.
Clone it to a card.
Run it from the card.

Can the cloned backup be restored to flash (or to the internal MMC if that's the prefered boot)?

Have not tried that, if the size of the flash and your cloned backup is the same (or partitionwise), I do not see why would that be a problem. There are reports that one can image the cloned backup SD and restore on another SD. OR another option, http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...734#post142734, thread #9.

post if question,
