I made similar mistake. After this remove Sailfisz theme. Now I have red background in Blanco. How can I fix this?

Just change to Blanco theme then reboot.
then uninstall sailfish theme. After uninstallation, re-install Sailfish theme. Apply sailfish theme and reboot.

Done!

I tried exactly what you said, but blanco still had red background (sailfish works ok). I solved my problem with n9 qtweak
