Well, whenever I pull out my N810, a lot of people ask me if it's a phone, and I Say no. Then I say it's like an iPod Touch. What's the best way to describe it?

This topic has been covered pretty extensively in the past and there was never really a good conclusion reached. It's different things to different people, so you're never gonna get a good answer, but I still like "really, really tiny laptop."

Yeah I agree, it's true too. I think they're basically capable of being full computers (albeit underpowered), with the right software.

I'm with the General on this That's pretty much how I describe my N810 to people who come up and ask - "It's a computer I can carry in my pocket"

My daughter is quite clear on this. When she wants to know something, she says; "dad can look it up on his toy"
So in future, when someone says "what's that", the answer is, "it's my toy."

Ha. I call it my new laptop, too. You should see people's heads spin around and stare at it when you say that!

But... but... Aren't you the one who keeps telling people that the Itablets are for internet only? That anyone who complains about the lack of productivity-oriented software hasn't read the product specifications?

So, shouldn't you instead like "really, really tiny laptop that does a few things a normal laptop does, but not everything, stop whining about what's not there"?

Uh, no, sorry. You've got the wrong guy.

Yes, we get that you, for whatever reason, feel like big, mean Nokia betrayed you. Get over it.

Yeah, I'm in agreement with a few of the previous laptop comments... I always say, "It's a computer." People's mouths usually drop open and they exclaim, "Really?! No way!" When I show them, it's all over.
