Hehe...
Half my life on a farm...where the nearest neighbour was miles down the road a good dog and the woods and hills that seem to go on for ever...
then moved north ...where the roads just ...end. and the bush and wilderness begin....
Now I live what ...18years now...on one of the most beautiful islands in the world...the size of england, scotland and wales combined...with a pop. of less than half a million...essentially settled along the eastern coastline...and everywhere else pretty much...mountains, streams, lakes and rivers, with beautiful tall trees, and a fab. climate...
offroad? hehe...a couple minutes walk from the house towards the interior of the island ...and it is crown land...owned by the people of canada...you can start walking aaalllll the way to the other side of the island and the pacific ocean with not a powerline or road, or fence, or sign of man....pretty nice...ya...gotta have that ...it's like having other animals (cats dogs, birds, farm animals...etc..) ...even having a farm too for that matter...it hits something primordial.....all around it helps to make a person feel human...feel connected...feel real.
