Dave, there have been numerous attempts at flying "cares" before, with varying level of success. In the end, the biggest problem with all of them was stability.

Only way flying cars are going to work is if the passengers have absolutely no ability to pilot the car. Complete automation.
Imagine a sky filled with distracted pilots. Pilots who aren't 100% alert to what is happening around them.
It would be far worse than the roads...the level of awareness that is road driving is simple 2 dimensional alertness in compare - left, right, front, back......
flying expands that need for awareness to a sphere of alertness...most would find it impossible....most couldn't do it without terrible accidents occurring.

Well. I concur. At the same time the thing must be there before automate IT so. Build, make it work, if it work improve and Then 20 years from now. Automate it and add rules and regulation.
Also, IT Doesent need to be kass produced. Only one for me
