Hi guys, im trying to setup gizmo and use it to chat to my msn contacts. It says I can set it up to link into my MSN account as well, and i follow the procedure but it seems to just hang at "adding buddies please wait"

How long is this meant to take? Ive left it for an hour and still nothing?

Anyone used this successfuly that may be able to help?

I've not had much luck adding MSN buddies and IMing them, contrary to what Gizmo claims to be possible. This has been consistent with Gizmo running on my Nokia E51 smartphone, Windows Vista notebook, Windows XP Pro desktop and my Nokia N800 Internet Tablet.

Pidgin does a better job where IMing from my N800 to MSN and Yahoo contacts is concerned

I haven't had any problems with Gizmo and adding Yahoo or MSN buddies, Maybe a bad install of Gizmo? Try uninstalling and reinstalling Gizmo.

Did you start a chat with the user that says Setup_y_MSN then enter the number that says to add buddies? Choose MSN and enter your username and password for MSN?

I agree Pidgin is better for IMing. I use both. I use Gizmo for internet calling and Pidgin for IMing.

yes, i followed the procedure of talking to the "setup_im_and_buy" contact, but no joy

(also didnt work adding contacts on my E61i as well!)

Maybe ill stick with pidgin for now. Would have been nice to use the camera though.

Thanks a lot for your help!
