Like I said, I was referring to my experiencing in downloading WisMencoder and not ehe12's file. I have never downloaded his .avi.
Hence the confusion, we were talking at cross purposes.

Thanks for taking time to inform us on this video converter program. I am very much inetersted in trying it out. If you can, please send me a link to the tutorial for this program. I am frustrated with N800. I couldn't play any single video other than the demo clip came with it. It is supposed to be PMP but you can't play a single video. I don't know Nokia managed to market this product. To me it is an expensive MP3 player. If I had know this before, I would have gone fora i-touch or i-phone. Thanks for your help

I am always appreciative of suggestions which help make our computer experience better so I have come back to this subject. The most useful site for this app that I have found, for English speakers at least, is the Meizu Forum - interestingly enough. Along with download directions, there is even an English tutorial here
http://en.meizu.com/userforum/forum_posts.asp?TID=1083
I have installed the app and, apart from the interface being in Chinese, I have reservations concerning limitations in its options. For me there are much better apps around, many of which have already been posted about on the ITT forums. If WinMencoder suits your purposes then of course that is fine. If you want to check out some of the other choices then do a search here under ‘Handbrake’ and if I can help in any way then let me know.

I have installed it and run a test file successfully – MOV to AVI. The app looks great and I am sure that I will use it. It is free and if I can find a Donate button then I shall contribute to its development.
