I can confirm that after updating to 1.1.6 android notifications is not working anymore. I leave android Whatsapp (waiting for a non-prerelease version of Mitakuuluu3) and Facebook Messenger open, and I don't receive notifications (on lockscreen and via LED blinking) anymore, nor any alarm is played. I had to revert to Zedge to have at least the alarms back. Coderus, can I do something to help debugging this issue? Or do you already know what's causing this?

There is no way to detect if notification is from android or not in 1.1.6 update.I will do some more tests and more likely remove application and close this thread.

no, they are making native sounds for android notifications, should be finished for 2.0

but meanwhile we have no notifications till 2.0 that a pitty.
i have to reverse to an earlier sf version when it is possible.

I couldn't find anything about this except for "improved notifications", but if this is coming in 2.0, that's great. However we have Zedge that can support that part. Unless haptic and LED notification are also included, this is a step backwards.
This is basically the situation before Android Notifications and it's only after we lost the functionality that it becomes clear how great this functionality is. Such a simple feature, yet so indispensible. I can only hope that the fact that because of changes Android Notification can't function anymore is a bug that will be fixed and not a feature in anticipation for future updates.
I don't know about you guys but during the day, I have my phone on mute. Android Notifications changed my life. It will be missed.
