I've just updated my n900 with the cssu update (stable) but don't seem to have the orientation lock that I've read about and seen on you tube video. Can anyone help please?

No, it is not in the extras-devel repository.

extras-devel is not for general use!

Also there are endless amounts of threads about this.

Orientation lock applet is part of CSSU, but not installed by default. It is additional package and can be installed via HAM.

I installed the applet and enabled landscape orientation but with keyboard slid in apps (e.g. modrana, xournal) still rotate to portrait. How can I force landscape for all apps in all situations?
