Thanks for the nomination, but my community interest moved to tizen project so I don't think I can be as helpful to existing maemo based projects, I still use them tough.

I updated list at

Thanks!

I've now updated the list to include the (current) four people who have officially sent their e-mail.

It's alright win7mac ..really...
some times I read others great posts here , mind, they are as intellectually dry as an egyptian mummy fart.
And yes, looking back on some of my methods of approach to explaining something it does have the consistency of a really good bender or B.C. mushroom trip.
It can't be easy to read, that being said perhaps tb is right, knock back half a keg or down a few rounds of Vieux Pontarlier and then start reading.
I am considering posting a "Required States of Being Before Reading" at the head of lengthy explanations.

Oh yes..
I still haven't cleared that up.
I would be honoured to serve,
and I do thank all you chimed nominating me and all.
but I am still in a state of flux with my ex and our lives financially,
we are amicably splitting up but it is the joy of legality and process..
There are moments where I have time ,
and there are moments where I do not...
else at the very least I'd have been attending meetings here since the turmoil took place.
Until I have the ability and time to devote the focus,
I can at best only pop up and help now and then a new member who has questions..
Tinkerings and projects I am doing are temporarily on hold.
I think it best I wait until my life is less chaotic and can devote bending my Dalian brain to council issues.
So I think it best for the time being, for all my friends here, that I decline the nomination.

Thank you for considering, anyway.
I know our private lives do affect our online/community presence.

As with myself, fortunetely I am lucky indeed that my private life is in order, however my professional life is in a turmoil.
Probably some people here know that Nokia is again having massive restructuring that is leading to people losing their jobs.
I am serving as workers representative / shop steward and have 360 software engineers who depend on me in the negotiations. This puts me under quite a stress at the moment.

However, I still decided to accept nomination, and posted my acceptance to the mailing list a while ago.

What a shame. Wish you all the best and may your private troubles be resolved asap.

So we now have 5 valid candidates and only 1 day left.
- If it stays at this number, the election will be held for a council of 3 seats only.
- If we have one more candidate, the election will be held for a council of 5 seats.

I'm flattered to be nominated again and thank you for the nomination. With regret, I have to decline. I'm going through a very busy period right now and I would not be able to dedicate the time that a place on the council deserves. Thanks to everyone for your support. Serving on the council would be a great way to give something back to this community that has given me so much. I would definitely consider it in the future, I'm just not able to right now I'm afraid.

That's TWO honors in my book.
Wow! I really don't know what to say, I feel truly humbled by this.

To me, this community encompasses more than just Maemo. I consider Tizen to be one its descendants, just like MeeGo and Sailfish and they all have a lot in common when compared to other mobile OSs. There will be people on the council who have a preference for Maemo, others with a preference for Sailfish and others for Harmattan. I don't see why Tizen can't be a part of this. The more diversity, the better in my opinion. I was very impressed with your term on the council and I would urge you to reconsider.
