I'm considering purchasing either an n810 or n800. One of the things I want to use it for is to help learn a new language. Along with language learning mp3s, I wanted to add my flashcard software. I have Lingvosoft flashcards software which shows the words and says them aloud. Do you know if this program would work on these devices? On the website, they say that they support pocket pc, windows mobile, palm OS, and symbian but it doesnt mention any nokia devices. Could anyone shed some light on this for me please?? Thanks so much in advance

Garnet OS can be emulated on the Nokia Internet Tablets, so the Palm OS software can work. Since the NITs (Nokia Internet Tablets) run a version of debian linux, if there is an open source app that runs on debian linux for these flashcards i can be ported over easily to OS2008.

Verdict: Yes you can with the Garnet OS emulator (Palm OS)

I personally suggest you write to someone who speaks only the language you want to learn so you have to know how to write as well.

If you must you can get windows mobile and pocket pc's off places like ebay or an online store cheap if you know what model to get. I don't so I'll leave the rest to you.

OK I see, so I could run it but only through a Palm OS emulator. Does the emulator work well and run smoothly just as if it was actually a Palm device? Is there an emulator for pocket pc or windows mobile? Thanks again for the help
