Are there any functioning weather widgets out there? I can't seem to find one.

You can use OMWeather (Other Maemo Weather) By Vlad Vasiliev. I have version 0.28.13 Build: 31
It still works and you can have a nice "Hildon desktop applet [...]to show weather forecasts" (I just copied the about info).

I really like OMWeather for its multiple-source feature, configurability of the desktop widget and the functionality it gets from that widget. You can click in the weather location and it takes you to the next station in your list, with cool animated, transparent suns and clouds, etc. Click on an individual day and go to the forecast page for that location scrolled to that day.
