Forget it, I succesfully skipped tutorial app. For now everything is as supposed. Thanks for guiding me out. Time to sail again.

I'm thinking about Xperia XZ2 Compact, can someone share his/her experience from using XZ2 Compact with SailfishOS as a daily driver?

If not from XZ2c than from XZ3 or XZ2. Is it usable as a daily driver? Are there any annoying issues?
Is using map navigation without compass ok?

The biggest annoyance is camera performance, as documented in http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...73&postcount=2 and https://github.com/sailfishos-sony-tama/main/issues/46 . In short, don't expect it take great pictures unless you have lots of light and some luck.

As for compass, never used it on my devices as they all had issues with it (1+x, xz2).

On high volumes, speakers can get distorted (https://github.com/sailfishos-sony-tama/main/issues/1). Its probably due to some error in AOSP speakers data. So, use lower volume and be careful not to exceed it.

Other issues are at https://github.com/sailfishos-sony-tama/main/issues

For me, its (xz2) is a great device, runs fast and all the rest works as needed. But I can be biased and will let port users to leave the impressions.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Maybe someone can compare photos from Tama devices to photos from Jolla 1 or Jolla C. Maybe upload some sample photos.

Just to let you know: have been working on the update last weekend and just started testing 3.3.0.16 build. Will have to check how it works, and if it's all fine, compile new kernels for all devices.

@atlochowski - did you managed to get any comparison between tama and j1 photos? surely if you need flash - j1 will win. as for no flash scenario, no idea.

looking quickly around seems like tama stock has dried up. good luck with the search though! but as a warning, don't get "XZ2 Premium" - it's not tama.

Thanks for the warning but I'm interested only in XZ2c. Other Tama devices are to big for me.

3.3.0.16 is released. See release notes at https://github.com/sailfishos-sony-t...s/tag/3.3.0.16

While OTA can be done now, images will be uploaded tomorrow and attache them to the release, as done with the earlier ones.

Note that I have tested OTA only. While testing has been limited, I have not observed any degradation in functionality.

Highlights of 3.3.0.16 is updated gcc used for app development and better support for Flatpaks. While gcc impact is just starting through use of newer libs by app developers, Flatpak-induced changes allow to run multiple Flatpak applications at the same time. In 3.2.x.x we were limited to a single window due to a Lipstick bug that got fixed in 3.3.0.16.

Port-specific changes are mainly based on following the changes in official Xperia 10 port, bringing updates by Sony AOSP team into kernel. See release notes for specifics.

As always, the ones that wish to be on the safe side, wait for others to update and listen for incoming issues.

For issues, use Github at https://github.com/sailfishos-sony-tama/main/issues and discuss them at TMO or XDA
