I've installed the Beta, but now would like to return to the 2005 version. I found out the hard way that it can't be done using the Windows interface.

I am not a Linux person, but what's required to achieve the goal???

The closest I have is a MacMini.

BTW - does anyone know roughly when the FINAL version of the 2006 will be released?

If your not running linux as your main OS, you can download the Maemo live CD (http://maemo.org/maemowiki/LiveCD) and boot off of it. From there you can use the new flasher (http://www.maemo.org/downloads/d3.php) to go back to 2005. It's just two terminal commands that you have to run. "chmod +x ./flasher-2.0" to make it an executable, and "./flasher-2.0 -F imagetoflash.bin -f -R" to flash to the 2005 version.
