Keep in mind guys that boost mode can't survive on reboot. So, if something is wrong on boot, boost mode can't be involved. The max frequency is always 600MHz. Boost mode must be a activated after every boot (if you need it)

By the way, when Hildon-Desktop appears, the device is not 'ready' yet. You must wait at least 1 minute before using the touchscreen.

Here is a custom transitions.ini file with waves effect and no blur:

Could someone compile the Fremantle loadapplet to Leste? It has cpu and ram bar which help waiting.

Hi,

from Xterm :
Nokia-N900:/etc# apt-get install U-Boot with kernel 2.6.28-omap1
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Couldn't find package U-Boot

from application manager I find uboot-pr13 but it fails due to dependence on Kernel which I cannot find either. I need a guide for a more developed idiot. it is many years since I used the N900.

To be honest something like these would be ideal
https://jolla.com/install-sailfish-x-xperia-10-windows/

I dont really need dual boot. it is my second N900 so if I lose Maemo5 it is not the end of that experience.

I assume Leste has functional OTA updates if I make it the only OS for this phone.

I really need to flash it from a Windows PC, my Linux laptop has network connectivity issues I am unable to resolve so it can run Flasher 3.5 to get me back running as I have all the files on USB drive. But to do anything with files from internet is slow process.

You need the extras testing ssu/mr0 repository enabled because the kernel modules are not available in extras and then it should work with the application manager after a package refresh.

The package is called u-boot-flasher.
Code:
apt install u-boot-flasher
You should read the maemo leste wiki first. There are other methods described.
For device N900

No problem. I think testing is ok there are many improvements which didn't made it to extras. Sure there could be also something broken but I didn't faced it with testing.
But extras-devel eats your brain for sure.

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
u-boot-flasher: Depends: kernel-modules (= 2.6.28-20103103+0m5)
E: Broken packages

same problem. Any thoughts?
