I just installed phonelink on my N800, but the program alway can't read config file.

My .gnokiir file is as follows:

I put the .gnokiirc file in /home/user directory. Does anyone know the reason?

I tried, but it didn't work. The phonelink program still pop up a dialog with "Can not read config file".

I had the same problem, but it turned out to be a faulty .gnokiirc file. Problem was a leading space at the top of the file. Took it out, and now it reads the file. Doesn't do anything else, but that's on my todo list for today. Anyway... Check to see the file is properly formed. It may not be about the actual content.

Where does your .gnokiirc file come from ?
Did you copy the sample file from the garage or write it from scratch ?
I suppose you could try to put the one in the garage without modification to see if it's loaded ...

I could never get it to work also. I just about given up unless someone comes up with an easy set of instructions (for non-Unix users) or easier install package.
