I downloaded and installed transmission so I could download torrents. It works pretty well but I need to know how to download the movies/music directly to my sd card. Is this possible? If so help me out. Sorry if this is a stupid question I am not really good with my n810.
Thanks in advance

Yes you can download movies in the same way you downloaded other torrents but:

1. You should have enough free space for the movies you download

2. You cannot play rar'd movies directly. To unrar them you should have unrar on your n810 which is a command line tool to extract the movies

3. Movies which are of high bitrate like 700mb files do not play perfectly on the n800. Slow scenes will play well but scenes with a lot of action will play in slow motion.

Bottom line it is better to download movies on to your pc and later on transfer them to your n810

Well majority off movies need converting to play on nit so I would agree with sachin.

But 2 answer ur q:
in transmission, go to edit, options, untick prompt download directory and choose mmc-undefined-name

Or you can download/install Squishee which is a p7zip frontend/gui: https://garage.maemo.org/projects/squishee/

Movies/videos encoded specifically for the ipod seem to play well on the NIT.

Thanks alot this is what I was looking for. I feel like a ***** now seeing how easy it was.
Quick question: What are your guys download speeds at? Mine are 1-2 kb/s. Is this normal or really slow for the N810?
Thanks Again

Well, I guess it depends on amount of seeds etc.
Also wifi settings should have power saving turned off and wifi power to 100.

Also look into enabling 48hz sd mode. afaic, media to write to makes a difference to the speed.
