Hi,

I have just purchased a bluetooth stereo system and have music streaming nicely from my laptop to my hi-fi... i especially like being able to use the hi fi remote to change tracks on my laptop in another room.

i am trying to use my N800 as a remote for the laptop, what I want to do is connect to my laptop and change the album i have playing on my laptop through media player.... i am playing around with rdesktop to do this but wondered if anyone had any suggestions for something similar and maybe sleeker to use?

thanks in advance...

What program are you using on your laptop? If it's Windows Media Center then you could use mceguru.

If it's MythTV then you could use mythremote.

this is not an ideal solution, but logmein.com means you can control your desktop completely. tho admittedly, it is very slow (especially on n800). i use as have got nothing else working, this is a simple solution

I would use VNC to do this.

You need the VNC client on the Nokia, and then windows VNC server on your laptop. (It's just like pcanywhere, but different).
