My N810 worked fine when my 6 gb sdhc sandisk card was in and empty, but i recently put a gig of music files on and now it wont boot with the card in. If i take it out it will boot fine, but when i put it back in it wont recognize that there is an external memory card in. Has anyone else experienced this?

the same thing just happened to me too. I removed my sandisk 6GB microsd with microsd adapter from the n810 then put it into the usb card reader on my PC. I put it back into the the n810 and then it won't boot. the blue bar gets to 100% and it just hangs. I remove the card and it boots fine. I was using this card for 3 months with no problem. If i put the card in after the device boots, the n810 says the card is corrupted or not formatted. I proceed to format and still have a problem....I'm going to send the card back for warranty repair unless anyone has a solution? p.s- the card seems to work fine in my camera and my win xp pc via usb.

Try scanning the SD card for errors on the computer.

i just put it in the pc and now the pc can't see the card. I called sandisk and they said that perhaps the n810 rendered it permanently corrupted. They will only do the warranty exchange if nokia says that the 6b microsd is compatible with the n810. Do you know where i can find out if Nokia supports this media for the n810?

nope. i just tried the panasonic sd formatter and that same problem occurs. Does anyone know if Nokia approves the 6 gb microsd format for n810?

its sd-hc right?? dumb question but has to be asked. if its bigger than 2GB it has to be SDHC.

Sounds like a mount issue... ugh.... make sure its fat32 formatted... dunno what else...

Have the same problem. Sandisk 8 Gig micro.
My 810 will not start up as long as this is inserted. However it will mount to my Mac desktop when removed and mounted on its own.
Tried another 2 Gig micro and it starts up fine. Hard to believe the 8 Gig would get corrupted so easily.
How can I get the 8 Gig to be useful again?
