if you leave the BT Mac empty and select your phone as the default for you NIT (Control Panel / Phone)
the BT Mac Address will be filled with your default phone's one next time you open gnokii-gconf

fredoll: Looks like call notification works on my v3 razr. I am really interested in the dialog that pops up as well. I have been playing with a caller id like interface with my phone, and would love to see something like this on the tablet. If you are interested, take a look at the thread here:

If you're interested I could add the emission of a DBus Message when a call is received ... But I suppose that would be something for gnokii-dbus ...
Well just let me know if you want it and I'll see if I can add it (it will be deprecated when gnokii-dbus arrives ...)

Actually, your implementation is great. I guess the thing I am interested in is the "Name" and "Number" lines being populated. When I tried it earlier, nothing appeared in either one. I think it would be a great feature to add to phonelink to be able to grab the incoming number from the phone, and do a lookup via cnam.info or one of the many free reverse phone lookup services on the net (such as this one: http://presnap.com/)

After thinking a little bit (as much as I can ...) about this, I won't be implementing such a web search in phonelink because it should be so configurable that I think it should be a different project if you want to make it work everywhere and with any reverse phonebook provider ...
I will however generate a DBus Signal with the number and the name (if the phone gives one) so that any application can subscribe to it and act as appropriate ...
I hope I'm not to disapointing ...

Congrats on a wise, if likely unpopular, decision. Feature bloat is evil, and the bold few opposing it deserve every Thanks! they get.
