So far, I'm happy with my purchase. The processor speed is adequate. The screen is impressive. Maemo Mapper seems like a killer app, even without GPS. Multimedia playback is also good.
I do have a few complaints. As an experienced Linux user, I'm used to performing many tasks in a terminal window, but that's awkward on the n800. Also, I hoped I could directly play DVD VOB files at reduced resolution, but so far I've had poor results.
My biggest complaint is the n800's potential, the potential of the device makes me want to buy a whole bunch of accessories (like a Bluetooth GPS and keyboard) but my wallet doesn't like that
