Support for gapless playback would score an app massive points, but I'm not getting my hopes up. I would not mind support for FLAC, but lack thereof is not a deal-breaker.

I have a N800 en route to me right now. I've had one last fall before, so I know more or less what it's about. Back then, I tried Canola and stuck with the default Media Player in the end; I'm wondering if anyone would care to offer a suggestion as to what I could use for music playback now.
If it helps, I use foobar2000 under Windows and Quod Libet under Linux. I'm looking for something that's fast and no-nonsense. When I tried out Canola in November (I think), when I was at the now-playing screen and tried to change the volume, I would get a "loading..." screen before the volume indicator would appear on the screen. I found that to be very frustrating. I don't mind it being pretty, but it's not a prority. I definitely do want the option to run both in windowed mode and in full-screen - I frequently use the browser while listening, and want to be able to easily switch in and out to pause and skip around tracks.

Suggestions? (Even a shortlist would be pretty awesome.)
Thanks.
edit: now that I think about it, it may have been Kagu "loading" the volume control. Either way, this is something I'd want to avoid, regardless which app is doing it.
