Over 90% of my music is in the FLAC format, and resides on a HP MV2020 running Twonky. I want to stream these FLAC files to my N800. I've installed Media Streamer on the N800, and while it sees the FLAC flies on the MV2020 (I even see the album art on the N800), it buffers and then just hangs when I try to play a FLAC file. The N800/Media Streamer works fine with the few ACC and MP3 files that also sit on the MV2020/Twonky. I also know that FLAC streaming on the MV2020/Twonky works, because I am able to stream those files over the network to my Denon receiver. So any ideas why the N800/Media Streamer see the FLAC files via the MV2020/Twonky, but wont' play them?

BTW, I don't want to transcode my gazillion FLAC files to MP3...

Thanks

OK, to answer my own question... I found this on Maemo and installed it, and now streaming FLAC works via Mediastreamer

https://garage.maemo.org/projects/dsp-flac/

The remaining time function in Mediastreamer doesn't work correctly (rather at all), and I can't seek forward in a song, and it is still hanging occasionally, but besides that, the basic streaming of FLAC is working.

So if there is a better solution out there (like Canola2 FLAC/UPNP support in a future version), I'm all ears.

Thanks
