So, I'm hoping someone can help me with this. Somewhere I saw a sceen capture and someone had the ability to toggle bluetooth from perhaps, personal menu?

I'd love to know how to toggle bluetooth on and off without having to drill down through the control panel>bluetooth.

Thanks in advance.

If the bluetooth is on, just click on the icon then click turn off. (or whatever it is called). No need to drill down through the control panel.

David, the screencapture you saw was probably the old command navigator. I too went looking for this awhile back but ran into a dead end. Then earlier today I asked about it on irc aand qwerty, whom I didn't get to thank, but will probably see this <waves thanx>, pointed me to the following: https://garage.maemo.org/projects/switchonbt

Works great; menu item to toggle on/off just as you like

i have it sitting around my my simplelauncher strip, but lately i have just left bluetooth on all the time (or i turn of all radios using the "offline mode" option of the power menu).

Thanks everyone for the quick replies and suggestions. The last one did the trick for me.

I tried the bluez, and the commands worked, but bluetooth never turned on. Not sure what I did wrong.

Thanks again.

David
