I'm trying to work through a Python tutorial at diveintopython.org. One of the first things the tutorial discusses are doc string attributes. Following the script described in the tutorial, I can't seem to get xterm to return anything when I call for the _doc_ attribute.

Does the maemo xterm support this function? Do I need to install a specific package to access this python function? Thanks in advance for the help.

It looks like Python has been compiled for maemo without the doc strings. Also the interactive 'help' command is missing. It's a pity given how useful both of these are for beginners.
