try this:

i got one right now, as i plan to carry my N800 in this:

(that big back pocket net area)

when it becomes to hot to hide this:

under a shirt or jacket (and thats what i do right now to bring my N800 just about everywhere outside of the house).

Looks good. I'm not sure how well that holster would work with a business suit, but I'd be willing to risk it.

In the shower, I don't think you would even need to bag the N800; those things are built right... but no, I'm not fool enough to try it, either.

Oh, and of course I carry it everywhere. Call me when there's a $200 800x480 smartphone, and I might be interested. Especially if it has a genuine UNIX environment.

I took it everywhere even before it replaced my MP3 player, but especially after -- that started as "I guess I'll use the tablet as a MP3 player until my real MP3 player gets back from being fixed" and became a permanent habit thanks to iriver's 3 month repair time and how useful it is; I can listen to songs AND hear when someone sets off my highlight on IRC.

I liked the N800, but the N810's slightly smaller form factor and keyboard somehow made it into a must-bring companion as opposed to something I like to have if a chance to read might come up.

It's helped me remember my phone more often, too. I've thought, "okay, now to connect and check my RSS feeds" while heading out the door only to realize I had left my phone inside the house several times.

I take the tablet with me only when on small trips or commuting on bus or plane. With the weather getting warmer, I don't have the benefit of jacket pockets.

There's a solution to the question of having a tablet or smartphone: Buy both and be poor! The browser on my N95 works great when I don't have the tablet with me.
